When working as a project manager for Arcadis in 2000, Erwin van den Berg dealt with Unexploded Ordnance for the first time. Intrigued by the wartime history he became the general manager of operations of a UXO clearance company in the Netherlands. In 2018, he was co-founder of the specialized and dedicated UXO consultancy company NjordIC. He currently acts as a UXO consultant offering high-end consultancy services. He specializes in UXO desk studies (UXO Hazard Assessment and UXO Risk Assessment) and general UXO consultancy services. Erwin is recognized as one of the leading experts in the field of UXO Risk Assessments.
