Vessel Briefing Luncheon

The U.S. offshore wind market is developing at an extremely rapid pace, but does it have the necessary logistics infrastructure and vessel supply to keep up?

Members of the Clarksons Renewables team and other industry leaders will deliver a series of presentations about the global offshore wind market and highlight some of the bottlenecks facing the industry. Panelists will address important topics such as supply constraints across key vessel types and the vessel volumes / investment needed to meet 2023 (and beyond) renewable energy targets. Panelists will also present a deep dive into the U.S. vessel market and address how the oil and gas upturn has impacted both day-rates and availability.

A representative from DNB will present a short overview of the current vessel financing landscape in the offshore wind segment and address current opportunities and challenges. The final panel (moderated by Jonathan Lints, Director of Subsea and Renewables at Clarksons) will consist of offshore wind developers, EPCI companies, and survey contractors, who will address the challenges they have faced procuring vessels for offshore wind projects. Panelists will also discuss the Jones Act, state regulations, foreign-flagged vessels, and the United States Coast Guard.
