Regional Update Breakfast | Great Lakes: Fresh Wind Challenges and Opportunities

The Great Lakes offer a substantial resource for offshore wind energy with over 500 GW of potential deployment sites. With current activities on the eight Great Lakes states responsible for 25% of U.S. carbon emissions and limited sites for large-scale land-based wind and solar, Great Lake wind may be a very attractive low-carbon option for these states. This panel will explore the technical and socio-economic challenges of possible future development.
