Ventus Awards Gala

The Award

Tickets and tables are now available for purchase. The Ventus Awards Gala celebrates the trailblazing people, companies, organizations and work worldwide ushering in the adoption of offshore wind energy.

The Ventus Awards are named after the element essential to the work we do: wind. ‘Ventus’ is the Latin word for wind and is rooted in many of the languages we speak today—from French, Italian, and Spanish to Icelandic, Swedish, Bulgarian, and Romanian—to discuss and harness this important power. It also refers to the Venti, or Roman Gods for wind, each with their own directional power from north, south, east, and west.

The Ventus award represents the intertwining of elements to create a harmonious balance of elegance and strength. It is the swirling gusts and the rolling tides—a culmination of the natural cyclical process. A reminder that only by the combination of efforts can we effect the change we wish to see. Each award is created from handblown glass by artist Tim McFadden in his Baltimore studio.
