Nancy Kirshner-Rodriguez currently serves as the Senior Director of Policy & Outreach at the Business Network for Offshore Wind where she coordinates the Networks Ports & Logistics Working group, serves as a key spokesperson and liaison for the Network in the West, works on DEI initiatives and is focused on the Network’s western expansion and partnerships.
Nancy has lived in California for more than 21 years after serving in Washington, D.C. government roles during the Clinton Administration ranging from Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental relations both at the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In CA she served as Director of Government Affairs for the City and County of San Francisco under then Mayor, now Governor Newsom and as Executive Director of the California Commission on the status of Women and Girls. She applies her extensive experience in local and regional planning, environment, energy, housing, infrastructure, and transportation policy development to support the growth of the offshore wind industry and its domestic supply chain.
A committed civic leader, Nancy also currently chairs the Board of Directors for both Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation and the Marin School of Environmental Leadership. Maintaining her passion for achieving equity in our public institutions, she is on the National Advisory Board for Emerge America. In May 2022, she was honored with the Barbara Yaroslavsky Civic Leadership Award by the Jewish Public Affairs Council.
A graduate of Mount Holyoke College with a B.A. in Politics, Nancy received the Alumnae Medal of Honor in recognition of her years of service to the college. She resides in San Rafael, California with her husband, daughter, and dog Kona. Nancy loves to travel and has been to 42 states and counting.
