Michael Jerakis joined the Network in 2022 as a policy analyst. He is focused on vessels and maritime issues related to the offshore wind industry. Michael also helps manage the Network’s state and federal policy research efforts.
Previously, Michael worked in the Secretariat of Commerce & Trade for Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, where he helped craft and execute the administration’s communications strategy on economic development and renewable energy, including the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project. Prior to that, Michael interned in the Virginia General Assembly and for a D.C.-based government affairs firm.
Michael graduated from William & Mary summa cum laude with a B.A. in government and public policy.
Michael loves talking the latest on city planning and public transit, spending time at the beach with family on the Jersey Shore, and watching his favorite football team, the Steelers, on Sunday afternoons and Tottenham, the other kind of football, on Wednesday nights.
