Delegation Trip to Brazil

This Global Gateway delegation trip to Brazil offers participants the opportunity to attend the annual Brazil Windpower conference and exhibit with the Business Network for Offshore Wind in the U.S. Offshore Wind Pavilion. Participants will also visit multiple offshore wind sites and meet with government agencies and local suppliers during an Offshore Wind Educational Tour. The deadline to register is August 4, 2023.

Itinerary

Saturday, September 9

  • Arrival in Fortaleza

Sunday, September 10

Monday, September 11

Tuesday, September 12

  • Attend Brazil Windpower Show (All delegates exhibit at U.S. Offshore Wind Pavilion)
  • Meet with ABEEólica
  • Networking Reception at U.S. Consul General Residence

Wednesday, September 13

  • Attend Brazil Windpower Show (day two)
  • Meet with State Government and Port Authorities
  • Meet with Energy Research Office (EPE), Ministry of Mines & Energy (MME), Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL)
  • Networking Receptions at Governor’s Palace (Palácio Piratini)

Thursday, September 14

  • Roundtable Discussions at Osorio Wind Farm (Topics: roles of States, supply chain development, workforce and training, environmental permitting)

Friday, September 15

  • Meet with Petrobras (State-owned oil company)
  • Delegation Closing Lunch

Trip and Pricing Details

  • Member Fee: $3,483
  • Non-Member Fee: $3,983
  • Fees include trip organization, conference registration, curated meetings, introductions, hotel discount, local transport, conference exhibit booth costs and meeting room space, graphics promoting all delegates, pre-departure marketing support, and the potential for a speaking opportunity
  • NOTE: Participants are responsible for international airfare and lodging expenses
