Introducing Global Gateway:
Global Gateway is a new program offered by the Business Network for Offshore Wind that directly connects U.S.-based companies to the international offshore wind marketplace and supply chain. Through organized delegation trips to key markets in Europe, Asia, and South America, Global Gateway provides you access to our in-depth offshore wind knowledge and international introductions that will help accelerate the export of your products and services on a global scale.
Global offshore wind markets currently do not have enough supplies and services to meet the demands of the industry – Global Gateway directly connects you to developers, OEMs, and Tier-1 suppliers who are looking to purchase your products and services. Participants in Global Gateway will receive global industry introductions, attend renowned international offshore wind tradeshows and conferences, and make the essential connections needed to increase exports for your business.

Funding Information:
Global Gateway is a new resource from the Business Network for Offshore Wind. The program is made possible thanks to a Market Development Cooperator Program Grant (MDCP), awarded by the Department of Commerce. MDCP is the U.S. government’s most successful export assistance program. The awards help nonprofit organizations pursue innovative projects that address trade barriers, enhance industry competitiveness, and generate exports that create or sustain U.S. jobs.
The MDCP grant established a partnership between the International Trade Administration and nonprofit industry groups like trade associations and standard-developing organizations, to pursue innovative projects that address trade barriers, enhance industry competitiveness, and generate exports that create or sustain thousands of U.S. jobs. The average MDCP project generates nearly $100 million on exports. The MDCP project will help fund Global Gateway for three years.
Information on State Grants:
The State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) assists small U.S. businesses overcome obstacles to exporting by providing grants to cover costs associated with entering and expanding into international markets. Through STEP, your company may qualify for a grant to fund your participation in the Global Gateway delegation trips. Email your state point of contact about eligibility and next steps.
