Workshop: Federal Support of Offshore Wind: Recent News & Developments
Travis Douville leads research studies associated with systems integration and valuation of energy resources. In 2020, he led the first grid integration study of offshore wind off the Oregon coast. In 2021, he accepted a direct assignment to advise Department of Energy on the convening of sector stakeholders around offshore wind transmission solutions.
He joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 2019 from Vestas, where he anchored over 800 megawatt of turbine supply contracts and managed the Balance of Plant team, which assisted interconnection, control, and commissioning for utility-scale wind parks across the United States and Canada. Prior to renewables, he spent a decade in aerospace systems development and demonstration. He holds an MBA in sustainable business and MS and BS degrees in aerospace engineering.
