Biography

Workshop: Protecting Local Fisheries Throughout the Life Cycle of an Offshore Wind Project

Steven MacDonald is a Geomatics Professional who specializes in Hydrographic, Geophysical, and Geotechnical surveys who has over eighteen years of experience in performing nearshore and offshore projects. Within this experience is over seven years of time spent working in all aspects of cable route and offshore wind projects in the northeastern United States.

Prior to that he worked extensively on projects for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, United States Army Corps of Engineers, and Energy Majors domestically and internationally. He is a Professional Engineer, Professional Land Surveyor, and Certified Hydrographer with a passion for working on innovative solutions for nearshore survey projects. As Director of Surveys – Renewable Energy, Mr. MacDonald is responsible for managing all aspects of the survey business unit. Mr. MacDonald is an active member of the SUT Offshore Site Investigation & Geotechnics – US Branch committee, New York State Land Surveyors Association, and the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists New Brunswick.
