Workshop: Scaling for Success: Growth Strategies for Developing Organizations
Nathalie Jouanneau joined the Atlantic Shores joint venture in 2018, immediately upon its formation between Shell New Energies and EDF Renewables. She first managed the full scope of JV implementation, establishing governance, processes and procedures and growing the team, while managing early commercial opportunities through early proposals in the first offshore wind solicitations issued by New Jersey and New York. She then built the Project Services team, processes and deliverables associated with risk, cost and schedule management, while leading strategic planning, staffing and JV operations. Concurrently, she managed Atlantic Shores’ successful bid into the New Jersey 2020 offshore wind solicitation, which concluded in an OREC award for Atlantic Shores’ first 1.5 GW project; and led the JV’s successful acquisition of a new lease area pursuant to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s 2022 New York Bight Auction.
Ms. Jouanneau now leads Strategy and Portfolio Management for the JV, acting as a Chief of Staff for the CEO and managing strategic opportunities (State solicitations, lease auctions), staffing and people management, strategic planning and communications, and supporting governance.
Ms. Jouanneau joined Atlantic Shores from EDF Renewables, where she worked first as a project developer and then as a portfolio manager for onshore wind and solar since 2009, leading the submission of +15 GW of onshore wind and grid-scale solar proposals throughout Canada and the northeast U.S. and implementing development strategy and compliance for >700 MW of awarded projects up to final investment decision and transition to the implementation phase.
Ms. Jouanneau holds a master’s degree from the ESSCA French Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Northwood University. She is based in Brooklyn, NY.
