Biography

Workshop: Offshore Substations: The Heart of the Offshore Wind Farm

Michael is WSP’s Offshore Wind Lead in the US, bringing more than eighteen years of experience in the electric power and wind industries to this role. He has extensive experience leading international, multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects, and has a broad understanding of engineering, environmental, and commercial requirements for offshore wind projects. Michael has provided services covering the entire lifecycle of offshore wind projects, from concept development to decommissioning for clients across the value chain. These services have covered all components of offshore wind projects and have included feasibility studies, due diligence, metocean and wind resource studies, environmental impact assessments, market assessments, detailed design, design verification, and financial analysis. Michael is a member of the ACP Offshore Wind Standards Subcommittee and Co-Chair of the Metocean Working Group, leading the establishment of recommended practices for metocean conditions characterization.
