Biography

Workshop: Unlocking Supply Chain Potential: Proven Strategies to Hiring a Qualified & Diverse Workforce

Marjaneh Issapour is the Associate Dean of the Innovation and Economic Development in Sustainable Energy and the Director of Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center (RESC) at Farmingdale State College, a campus of the State University of New York. She is the leader in workforce development and training programs in Renewable Energy in New York State. Most recently she led a team of faculty members in the development and deployment of the first state-approved certificate program in “Wind Turbine Technology” and “Sustainable Energy.”

In addition, she has a great passion for working with young people from disadvantaged communities in the offshore wind space. All her efforts in workforce training are through the lens of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Marjaneh has expertise in Statistical Modeling of various energy related quantities and factors and has devoted most of her research to applications related to alternative energy sources.
