Workshop: Lessons Learned: A Look at Union Partnerships and Local Workforce Development for Offshore Wind Projects

Jon is an International Representative for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), tasked with Business Development within the IBEW’s Fourth District. The IBEW’s Fourth District is comprised of the District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia. Jon has been a member of IBEW Local Union 307 in Cumberland, Maryland for nearly 30 years. He is a journeyman wireman by trade, having completed the Western Maryland JATC apprenticeship in 1994. After completing the apprenticeship program, Jon was active in his local union, holding various offices both elected and appointed at the local union for 15 years until his appointment as a State Organizing Coordinator for the IBEW International in 2010. In 2015, Jon became the first International Representative for Business Development within the IBEW’s Fourth District, a position he still holds today.
