Dr. Jian Fu is the Program Lead for the System Integration team in the Wind Energy Technologies Office. In this role, she leads the research, development, demonstration, and deployment for increasing amounts of wind to interconnect and integrate with the grid timely and reliably. Prior to joining the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in 2016, Dr. Fu has more than fifteen years of experience in the private sector, including various engineering positions at different product lines at Alstom Grid (now GE), and three years as a co-founder of a utility software start-up company. Dr. Fu holds a Ph.D. degree from Iowa State University in Electrical Engineering.
