Biography

Workshop: UXO Risk Reduction Strategies for Each Step in the ALARP Process

James Fisher has over fourteen years of professional experience with marine infrastructure projects involving geoscience and geotechnical engineering. He has supported offshore wind, oil and gas, and transportation/infrastructure projects in Australia, Southeast Asia, Africa, Canada, Europe, South America, and US Mid-Atlantic, Great Lakes, Gulf of Mexico, and Pacific OCS. Mr. Fisher has led multiple integrated geophysical and geotechnical projects for offshore developments, including site investigations and characterizations, geohazard assessments, ground model development, and geological studies. He earned a master’s degree in engineering geology from Kent State University, and a bachelor’s degree in geophysics from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
