Workshop: The Jobs are Here Now: Demystifying Offshore Wind Career Paths
Erik Antokal, Ørsted’s Director of Workforce Development, is an experienced program designer and worker advocate specializing in the inclusion of disadvantaged groups in skilled trade careers. He is working to build racial and gender equity throughout the offshore wind industry through mutually beneficial union, community and employer partnerships that support women, Black and brown people, and communities most affected by environmental injustice. Most recently, Erik spent eight years practicing workforce development in the construction and utilities industries at Nontraditional Employment for Women (NEW), a nonprofit that prepares women for union trade careers and at Forest City Ratner. Erik is a graduate of the Coro Fellows Program and of Tufts University.
