Biography

Workshop: Protecting Local Fisheries Throughout the Life Cycle of an Offshore Wind Project

Elizabeth Marchetti hails from Long Island, New York, and has been working with the commercial and recreational fishing communities as a field scientist and fisherman for over twenty years. She worked ten years as a federal contractor working with NOAA/NMFS where she supported offshore and onshore fisheries bio-sampling as well as fishermen’s inquiries about management, reporting, and other issues. In 2015, Ms. Marchetti was selected for the Block Island Wind Farm Fisheries Liaison, working with the fishing industry, Deep Water Wind, POWER Engineers, National Grid, and the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council. She participates in the New York and Massachusetts Fisheries Technical Working Groups and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of Rhode Island.
