Workshop: Managing Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity for Offshore Substations

Dereck Stubbs is the lead for Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity consulting services at ABS Group. With more than sixteen years of field experience, Dereck has led cybersecurity consulting programs for some of the largest companies in the world, specifically focused on industrial markets (chemicals, power and energy, manufacturing, biotech, and maritime) and services to improve cyber maturity and reduce cyber risk. He started his career in upstream oil and gas, focused on operations and automation management, which evolved to include cybersecurity. This convergence of operations, safety, automation, and cybersecurity became Dereck’s primary focus, resulting in leadership and broad-based technical roles throughout his career. Dereck has a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the University of St. Thomas and many industry-specific certifications, including Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist at the International Society of Automation (ISA).
