Workshop: Is Bigger Always Better? Tradeoffs Between Upsizing and Industrialization

Christy Guthman leads Sales and Commercial Activities for North America Offshore Wind at GE Renewable Energy. Christy joined the Offshore Wind business in 2020 to lead a team working to position GE as an offshore wind leader in the US. She recently moved to Boston, MA to establish GE’s US Offshore Wind headquarters. She brings over twenty years of experience in sales, supply chain, and business development, and she has been with GE for fourteen years, all in renewable energy. Prior to joining Offshore, Christy led sales for the Western US and Mexico for GE’s Onshore Wind business based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Christy is a graduate of GE’s Renewable Energy Leadership Program (RELP) and holds an MBA from Cornell University. She also has a BS in Business Administration with a triple major in Logistics Management, Marketing, and Spanish from Central Michigan University. She also served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Guinea, West Africa.

Christy has traveled to over fifty-five countries and is now enjoying exploring New England with her husband and three children.
