Biography

Speaking Role at IPF: Women in Energy Luncheon

A national leader in the renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure field, Amanda Lefton works with Foley Hoag’s clients in the renewable energy, climate solutions and environmental industries at both the federal and state levels as a member of the firm’s Energy & Climate group.

Amanda is the former Director of the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), where she spearheaded development and implementation of the Biden Administration’s ambitious offshore wind agenda, including all federal offshore wind leasing, project reviews, and policy and regulatory matters. Amanda advanced an “all-of-government” approach and worked closely with colleagues in leadership at the Department of the Interior, the White House, other federal agencies, Tribal nations, state governments, and myriad stakeholders to tackle key energy and environmental issues.
