Speaking Role at IPF: Plenary

Ali Zaidi was recently elevated by President Biden to Assistant to the President and National Climate Advisor.  He was previously Gina McCarthy’s Deputy and has served as a key advisor to the President for many years. Mr. Zaidi is Vice Chair of the White House Climate Task Force and will play a central role in the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and harmonizing it with other climate actions. The IRA includes $369 billion in climate-related spending and Mr. Zaidi will be charged with ensuring that Administration priorities will be central to how the funding is distributed.
