Tour | From Labor to Steel: Baltimore Companies Working in Offshore Wind
Learn about the Baltimore businesses active in Maryland’s growing offshore wind market.
This four-stop tour showcases businesses and organizations active in the local offshore wind industry. Tour attendees will meet representatives from the Ironworkers Union and learn about their work training apprentices and building a local workforce in the Mid-Atlantic region. Next, enjoy a luncheon and offshore wind briefing from the Greater Salisbury Committee, a member-driven nonprofit that works to improve the local community through private, public, and philanthropic partnerships. After lunch, attendees will tour the Arcon Training Center, a certified Global Wind Organisation (GWO) training provider for Basic Safety and Basic Technical Training. End the day with a tour of Crystal Steel Fabricators, an AISC-certified fabricator that serves the largest clients in the industry.
