Baltimore – The U.S. Senate voted last night to begin debate on the bipartisan Infrastructure Package championed by President Biden and key Senators. The agreed framework contains numerous provisions that, if enacted, will jumpstart offshore wind supply chain opportunities and enable states to strategically invest to develop port facilities.
The proposed legislation includes several infrastructure investments Oceantic Network has advocated for, including funding for port and transmission upgrades, a manufacturing tax credit, and new initiatives at the U.S. Department of Energy that would deploy innovative technologies, support localized workforce development, and create supply chain pathways.
